As I wrote about several months ago, preparations have already begun for the IQMS User Group 2012 (#IQMSUG2012) event. In fact, we started planning this event when we were still double digit months away from the date. Time sure has flown! It is already summer and I can count on less than one hand the months that remain before we kick off another User Group. So, what have we been doing in preparation for the event and what can attendees expect?
The Venue: Las Vegas.
This location was selected by popular consensus from previous attendees. Some people ask, "Do people really attend the sessions when the venue is Vegas?" I can tell you in all honesty the answer is yes. I am not saying several don't come in blurry eyed from late night gambling or karaoke, but our daily attendance stays consistent because everyone seems excited to network and learn more. So don't let the location fool you ... work is still being done!
New Developments.
What have we been working on? The agenda is available and other logistics are all being handled behind the scenes. We asked clients to take a survey and tell us what topics were important to them. We got an overwhelming response! From that survey, we gathered the topics that received the most votes to come up with a dynamic schedule that, we hope, offers something for everyone. Whether you are a seasoned EnterpriseIQ user or a member of a newly formed implementation project team, you should find value in this event. Based on attendance last year and our growing scope of clients, we even added a separate overview "track" that will show not only how to utilize features of various software attributes, but highlight best use practices.
New this year is our award presentation to be held during the Welcome Reception. We have asked clients to submit nominations for the inaugural IQMS Manufacturing Success Awards. The response has been great! It is wonderful to hear about the projects and successes of our customers. From building a 100 percent automatic factory to implementing one single procedure change that saved hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, all these accomplishments should be acknowledged because they help companies prosper. There is still time to nominate your own company too!
Final Thoughts.
As registrations continue to come in and we work to making this the best and highest attended event yet, coming months will bring more updates. We will soon open up meal-time networking sessions where attendees can meet others from the same region, industry, like job title and more. We will also begin taking reservations for one-on-one help desk and sales desk sessions.
